So this week Rebecca and I took off from work to help define some of the landscaping and other items that we have been neglecting. We started this week by taking a look at some plants. We started by going to a couple of the local nurseries but eventually wound up at the Jordan Water Conservatory. We saw a bunch of cool ideas, and have uploaded them to the design section of see our house. Check out the Jordan Water Conservatory web site there are many more images there.

Thank you so much, Great information… You keep writing and I’ll keep reading.
JVWCD is the largest of the Salt Lake Valley water companies, providing water service to most of the Valley. They’ve started the water conservancy garden as a public service because they’re faced with two options in the next 10 years:
A. Encourage people to build low water use gardens, rather than use half of our culinary water on our lawns
B. Build billion dollar water projects on controversial bodies like the Bear River.
So naturally the education and garden examples they have at their site are quite useful.
